Today is third day of Ramadan, and it has been good allhamdulillah. Some of my friends have been joking around about that they can eat and I can't. I go along with the joke, as if I am so craving the food. In reality, yes, I might be hungry; but I am really happy and glad that I am fasting.

The whole deal; business casual, 7am-till-I-sleep job, badge around my nick like a goat, clock-in, clock out, grey cubical, water cooler drama, the full package. Come the weekend, I am the kid with scruffy jeans and over-sized backpacks on first class heading somewhere. Whether it is El Salvador, or good ol' LA, I have to go somewhere. Because, you see, I am homeless. I have no place to live. Yes, I am almost like Ryan Bingham from Up in the Air -- his airline miles tally and status turns me on. But I actually don't even have that empty boring apartment. Why the hell would I? After all, I am homeless, but I have a job. a lucrative job, gratefully. I am a hobo. a Notable Hobo.
