Zooooom ...
How does it feel going 100 mph on a bike on a highway? AWESOME ...
Today, I sold Old Girl. Yes, she is gone. When the guy drove off with her, I felt weird. She is gone! I wanted to run, stop him, and ask him to take care of her! (I know too many movies!) I really had fun with that girl, and she gave me many stories to tell.
First semester, as I was always upset, she was always my breather. Racing Mofat to Gregory, was our workout warm-up. Once, in a race with a friend, I made a 80 mph on Lamar, with a cop passing on the other side. In the same day, the same race that is, I turned right from the extreme left lane, cutting off two cars! "... the scariest ride ever..." Mofat admitted when he had to give the second Juma, and we left Riverside 10 mins late! There was the infamous one-hour-and-a-half-san marcos trip. Oh, she is a star! She was casted in two of the stupidest MSA movies ever made! She also was generous to give me the best spring break in my life, when she broke down the first day of the break. That day I got stuck 100 meter from my place, and she wouldn't start. Of course, in riverside alotta people offered to help. But I was picky, so I chose that Mexican dude, with his unbuttoned shirt and shiny, sparkling things on his chest. But he was really good at this that he asked for $5. Of course, I'm an arab, so I had to bargain with him, and he jumped my car for free. did I mention it was raining? yes it was. Then there was me pulling out of the Nueces parking, on reverse, at 30 mph or something like that, just to smash that poor caprio's back. My tough girl left the scene with only a dent. Oh, that summer without an AC, was a lot of fun. Or that sexy squeaking sound it used to make at one point. I could write a long post about each one of these stories, but not now. I want to keep you excited waiting for them : P
What's funny is that I don't think I have any pics of her, at all!
When she left, she got me thinking. Nothing stay the same. Things change whether they were good or bad. Remember the goods, and forget the bad. Whatever bad someone is going through, it will be forgotten soon, cuz it will change!
Anyways, as a psychological compensation for the emptiness she left, in fact, to prove that the bike is worth it, I decided to take it to the highway. We went to watch Night at the Museum. And I went on the bike. On my way to the theater, I made 80 mph, normal not a biggie. On the way back, though, the street's emptiness was calling me. I put my head down, and I smoothly rolled down the throttle as much as I can. ZOOOOOM ... that how it felt. Quickly, I remembered that it's night, and I-35 is full of cops. I rolled off the throttle, and looked at the speedometer. It was coming down to 100 mph. So here it is, I broke the 100 mph on my bike. Was I scared? scared to death, but that is good. cuz as long as I have this slight scary feeling that something real bad can happen, I don't pull any stupid moves, and I stay on the lookout!
Oh, the movie? it was really funny. You would laugh ur (---) off : ) Just go with a big group and you will love it.
