Sorry Latifa

Being in the mood that I had yesterday, the only solution was a nice ride, and an engine reving at 8000 rpm. However, my Old Girl is out of the game. Her engine can't take it anymore. Besides, she has no inspection or registeration. So ... I sincerly appologize to her. After a long talk with her, we found that it is about time she retires. It's was real, but nice.

I had to meet my fluids lab group, so I took Latifa there. As I said, I was in that wierd mood. I have been gentle with Latifa, since she is the new girl. I never pushed her really hard or anything like that. But yesterday ... I needed to do something. I stopped on 24th to make a left on San Jacinto. With my Old Girl I woud floor the gas and take the corner in the most joyfull way ever, but with Latifa I never done that. Besides, Old Girl is rear wheel drive, which means it drift outside of the corner. As for Latifa, a front wheel drive, I heard that it would actually pull you inside the turn. Anyways, I appologized to her, and asked her to let me do it, just this time. She was ok with that, just for that time.

I floored the gas, while on the manual gear so I stayed on second gear, as I expected first the Traction Control System kicked in, which I learned how to turn it off when I don't need it. At that point it was a complete failure, but I kept the engine high reving. Suddenly I felt the fron literally pull me to the left, and I am facing the traffic booth. In fact heading into the traffic booth. Fortunetly I was not very close to it, and a combination of sharp steerings, brakes, and gas got me away of it, allhamdulillah. but it was close.

Now, I was upset with Latifa. Lost it, and said: Man, I wanna go flying. Latifa is a jealous girl, and that is why I never told her that I fly. I even had to lie to her everytime I drove to the airport. She now knows, and is really hurt. But I am too, why can't she just take the corner as I want, just for once.
