A Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at the Neptunes

Dr. Neptune is my professor at school. He teaches me a BioMechanic class, a tech elective that I am sooo glad to take. He send an open invitation to anyone who doesn't have a place to go to in Thanksgiving dinner. I sent him saying that I honestly don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I would to come over, surely he did not mind.

I got there at 4 pm, and I had with me a Tabouleh that Ashraf made and some mana2eesh za3tar that I made. Prof. said that if one is coming he/she has to bring a traditional dish from home with him/her. My class TA, Koo, and Jessica from the prof lab were there. Me and Ben, german guy, from the class were there.

It was nice. We talked for about 2 hrs before the big bird went on the table. After that we sat another two hrs on the table between the main dish, desserts, and talking : ))

Dr. Neptune has 4 kids. I am not sure if I got all of their names: Kindrek, McKelly, Derek, Aleka. But they were adorable. The youngest is Derek. I carried him and thrown him around, then he stuck with me. I would put him down, he would run around and come to me and mumble to me to get him up again. Aleka is the oldest, she is 8 yrs old. She is adorable. Kindrek is first grade, I guess. We played alot, and they worked me out really hard. I had to carry each one of them, put them on my shoulder, and walk around sayin: Who is the queen, who is the king! McKelly was the shy one. She wouldn't come to me. But I would run after her: I'm gonna get ya ... nd she runs away to her mom.
I had fun with them ... I love kids ...

Few small conversational incidents happened. For example, Koo, who is Japanese, thought I am american and praised my English. I have had that few times, where other non-native-english-speaker fellows think I am American, and that my English is great. I know my english sucks, and I know I still say wrong things, but I am glad. I feel that I come along way.

Otherwise, I took everybodies attention with the I am pilot conversation. I feel bad for talking soo much about it. I feel guilty as if I am showing off. But, I love flying, and I wanna talk about it. I should not be penalised for that not too many ppl fly. But I really love flying and I don't do it to show off, PERIOD. I like driving, flying, and inshallah I will ride motorcycles soon.

Anyways, break is good so far. I need to get back to work tomorrow : ))

sorry for the pic quality, I couldn't upload the good resolution one ...
