Whose land is it?
Clearly, this post will touch the Lebanon issues, that however be a lil later on.
Few days ago, my aunt passed away. Offcourse, anyone's death affects any person with a heart. She has been sick for quite a loooong time. I mean really long. Despite that I barely know her for some family reasons that I honestly don't know, but I don't remember her not being sick. Anyways, that was Friday morning. We went to the burial on friday, and now there is the funeral, which lasts for three days. Its when the dead person's relative get together some place and wait for everyone else to come and (ye3azoo fe el mait.) Anyways, I didn't go yesterday, but I went today. These events reminds me with alot of traditions, their cons and pros. My bro. teases me about this, because every time I come home for a vacation, somebody passes away. In my first summer back, my grandma passed away. The winter right after that, my dad's uncle passed away, and now my aunt!
As I was reading many posts about the Lebanon issue today, it came back a thought tht I almost forgot. Whose land is it? Before WWI, Palestine was under the Ottoman's rules, which is considered a muslim state, a REAL muslim state. It's a well known story, that when Zionism was established in early 20th century. Their leader at the time, I'm horribale with names I think it was Herzl, asked the Ottoman sultan, I forgot this name too, to sell him Palestine. The Sultan replied, "I can't sell it, untill every Muslim on this earth accepts. Its the Muslims land." Man, good old days when muslims were ruled by strong muslim leaders. Back to the subject, and before the ottomans, Palestine had been under a muslim stat since some time in the 7th century, except 90 yrs under the crusaders. So, we are talking about 13 centuries with no jews. Oh, and before that Palestine was under the romans for a loong time. So, this is a quick reminder of when the last time Palestine was ruled by jews. Go back to some history book, I aint good with history. Then there was the Balfour declaration. When a British minister promised the Zionists to give them Palestine. When I studied this at school, I had a WTF moment!
Anyways, I wanna go back to kindergarten. When we used to fight over whose pencil this is, or who sat here first. So, if for example a I took someone's else pencil to tease him, then the other kid hit me on the face. Who would get heavily punished? as far as I remember, and as far as the kindergarden tht I went to, the other kid's parent would be in next day! Because, taking away his pencil is not enuff reason to hit me! Off course I would get punished, but heck, I would have the black eye. I would have my parent in, fighting the principle! How does this apply? Hezbollah kidnapped two soldiers. Why? because there are hundreds if not thousands of Lebanese in the Israelis presons. I don't recall Hezbollah threating of killing these soldiers. It's a game everybody plays. Everyone has gone to school. And, everyone has, at one point, kidnapped another kid's pencil to give him back his eraser! I mean, I don't understand why is Hezbollah to be blamed for what he has done. Nasrullah said it all. In one of his speaches, he said that what's happening was being planed, and kidnapping the soldiers just made it earlier.
Whose land is it? If you have a thief in your house, would you ask him politly to leave? would you try to kick his ass the hell out of your house? Now, if that theif invited ppl over to the house, would you say,"ya, u guys r just guests, but u ... u ... can u leave?" It's just a matter of whose house is it?
Again, I'm not a poltician. I'm a dump engineer, and what do engineers understand in life?
If you guys don't hear from me for a while, ask about me, or just make me duas ... I might be "mysteriously gone" to some other place...
